Solar thermal is a technology that has been used for decades for the production of domestic hot water and for heating purposes.
In industrialized countries, solar thermal energy is exploited in three main fields:
- flat and vacuum collectors for the production of domestic hot water, heating and pre-heating of process water
- flat air collectors
- concentrators for generating electricity and process heat
Low-temperature solar thermal consists of three basic technologies:
- plastic panels
- glazed flat-plate collectors
- vacuum collectors
Plastic panels are characterized by lower costs and is suitable for summer use; the water to be heated passes directly through the panel, avoiding the costs and system complications of the exchanger. Flat plate collectors are the most widespread and most adaptable technology, from a construction point of view, various solutions are more available which are distinguished by the selectivity of the absorber plate, by the materials (copper, stainless steel and anodized aluminium) and by being suitable for use in forced or natural circulation systems. Vacuum collectors have the best performance in all seasons (about a 15-20% increase in energy production), thanks to the substantial cancellation of losses due to convection. The higher cost compared to the flat solution, however, recommends its adoption only in special cases (higher water temperatures and/or harsh climate).

Product features
- it uses pyrogell insulation, a nanomaterial with very low thermal conductivity and high resistance and lightness
- connection cable to the temperature sensor inserted in the sheath
- flexible and compact
- resistant to pressure and heat
- small footprint in the insulation diameter (5 mm)
- resistant to crushing and trampling
- resistant to external and climatic agents such as UV rays, insects, pecking and strong pressure
- the tube comes with the probe
REDUCED SIZE
The much thinner thickness compared to traditional insulators (3/4 times) makes it unique in its kind; thanks to this feature, concealed floor installation is possible. The predisposition for precision cutting to exact length and the already set curve make it easy to handle for transport, storage (dimensions almost halved) and sale, thus significantly reducing management costs! The heat-sealed fins that join the two paired tubes are prepared for separation with a simple cutter cut, without unfastening! It does not require fixing brackets.
